(Competitive rates based on experience)About Avoria
At Avoria, we believe that every journey is different, every milestone, big or small, matters and is worth celebrating, and every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. We provide high-quality, family-centred, in-home ABA services designed to fit naturally into families' lives.
We are moving away from the traditional, rigid clinic model to focus on natural environment teaching, compassionate care, and meaningful caregiver collaboration. We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic BCBA / RBA to join our growing team and help us empower children and their families.
The Role
As a BCBA / RBA at Avoria, you will be the clinical leader of your clients' treatment teams. You will be responsible for conducting in-home assessments, designing highly individualized ABA programs, and providing expert supervision to Instructor Therapists.
Because this is a hybrid role, you will enjoy the flexibility of working remotely (for program design, data analysis, and remote parent coaching) while also travelling to clients' homes to conduct assessments and provide hands-on supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessments: Conduct comprehensive in-home programming assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS) and functional behaviour assessments (FBAs).
- Program Design: Develop highly individualized, play-based, and natural environment teaching programs targeting communication, daily living, social skills, and self-regulation.
- Clinical Supervision: Provide ongoing, high-quality mentorship and supervision to a team of Instructor Therapists, ensuring treatment integrity and clinical excellence.
- Data & Progress: Monitor client progress through data analysis, update programming as needed, and write comprehensive progress reports.
- Ethical Care: Ensure all clinical practices align with the ethical guidelines set by the BACB and the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
Qualifications
- Certification/Registration: Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing AND registered as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) with the CPBAO.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience designing ABA programs and supervising front-line therapists is preferred.
- Skills: Deep understanding of natural environment teaching, play-based ABA, and trauma-informed care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, or willingness to travel by public transit within the designated service area for in-home visits.
- Requirements: A clear and current Vulnerable Sector Police Check and professional liability insurance.
Why Partner with Avoria?
- Competitive Compensation: Compensation is to be discussed during the interview process, with competitive rates reflecting your experience and expertise.
- Ultimate Flexibility: As an Independent Contractor, you have the autonomy to build a caseload that fits your lifestyle, whether you are looking for part-time hours or full-time engagement.
- Hybrid Model: Enjoy the perfect balance of working from home and getting out into the community to do hands-on clinical work.
- A Culture of Care: You will be part of a supportive, collaborative environment that values your expertise and shares your passion for family-centred care.
- Impactful Work: Experience the unique reward of seeing your clients generalize their skills in their natural environments, where it matters most.

- A Culture of Care: Join a supportive, positive team that values your hard work and shares your passion for empowering kids.
- Meaningful Impact: Experience the joy of watching your clients generalize their new skills where it matters most, in their own homes and communities.
